Luke

Luke is a senior business leader with a career built in people, culture and organisational leadership. With a background in Human Resources and experience as a Chief Corporate Services Officer and senior executive, he has spent years working at the strategic level of business—supporting leaders, building strong workplace cultures, and helping organisations navigate growth, change and complex people challenges.

But there’s another side to Luke.

Alongside the corporate world, Luke has always had a natural presence on stage. Known for his humour, quick thinking and ability to connect with people, he brings energy and personality to events as an emcee and host. What started as a fun outlet quickly became something more—an opportunity to bring people together, keep audiences engaged, and add a sense of fun and authenticity to events.

For Luke, hosting events is about more than just holding a microphone. It’s about creating an atmosphere where people feel connected, comfortable and part of something memorable. He approaches every event with a balance of humour and professionalism, building genuine connections with audiences while working collaboratively with organisers behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly.

 

At the heart of it all is a simple philosophy: great events happen when people feel relaxed, supported and genuinely engaged in the moment… with just enough humour along the way to keep everyone awake after lunch.

I’d love to emcee your conference, gala dinner, awards night or corporate event, helping create a smooth and engaging experience from start to finish. With professionalism, well-timed humour and genuine audience connection, I help ensure your event runs seamlessly and leaves guests with a memorable experience.

Comedy & Interactive Emcee

For events that want a little more personality in the room. This option blends professional emceeing with humour, playful sarcasm and audience interaction to keep energy levels high and guests engaged. The style and content are always tailored to suit your audience and the tone of your event.

Custom Video & Comedy Content

For events looking to add something a little different, I can work with a local film crew to create custom video segments tailored to your event and budget. Popular formats include Coffee with Luke interviews with company executives, comedic “news updates” about the business, and playful interviews with CEOs or stakeholders about topics like their salaries or what they actually do day to day.

These short segments are perfect for breaking up heavier content, filling scheduled breaks, or grabbing the room’s attention before the next speaker.

HR & Leadership Presentations

Alongside emceeing events, I also deliver HR and leadership presentations for organisations brave enough to talk honestly about people.

My latest presentation is titled “I Hate People.” Before anyone calls HR on me, it’s obviously a hook.

The session explores something many leaders quietly experience but rarely say out loud — that leading people can be complicated, messy and occasionally frustrating. Through humour, real experiences and a bit of self-awareness, the presentation focuses on remembering that the people we work with are still human. beings, each with their own challenges, strengths and stories outside of work.
